INDEPENdenT LIVING SKILLS
Creative Minds Independent Living Services (ILS) Instruction consists of dedicated 1 on 1 staff who provide skills instruction and training to recipients in the needed skills to live and succeed in their own homes. Instruction is based on the recipient’s personalized program plan and goals, and are offered directly in their homes and the community. Instruction may include using various public transportation systems, cooking and nutrition, grocery shopping, managing a personal budget, self-determination, and many other subjects. As ILS services are instruction-based, this service is recommended for individuals who have a good base knowledge of life skills, and want to maintain their independent living situation and freedom. ILS service hours are based on the need for instruction, and individuals may receive up to 30 hours per month or more.
